On Saturday before my Monday wedding, the salon called to finally give me a definite appointment time and confirm my "3 hair and makeups"! I explained that this was not what I had requested and was told that it was on my contract (which I never got) and I had to pay full price since I did not cancel in more than 7 days. From there it was a continued mess - I never did get a contract. ( this was still weeks before the wedding). I promptly emailed the salon to tell them that I only needed makeup for the girls and no hair. I got a message saying that they had added HAIR and makeup for my bridesmaids and would be emailing me a new contract. Several weeks before the wedding I still had heard nothing so I called to see if they were able to accommodate my early appointment time and to add makeup for my 2 bridesmaids to the service. On this paper I had wrote down my contact info and credit card information (my first mistake). Several months before the wedding I faxed a copy of the "contract" to the salon. I found the staff to be very disorganized and unprofessional. After reading and hearing reviews I was really disappointed by my experience. I asked All About Me to do my makeup and hair for my Memorial Day 9am wedding. Overall, you get what you pay for when you pay $25 for a manicure. She was so thorough with my grandmother that she wasn't even painting my grandmother's fingernails when I was done (which was about fifteen minutes). My grandmother, however, got a great nail technician! I never got her name, but she was an older lady. By the end of the day, I had to take off my nail polish because I was very dissatisfied. So I ended up having air bubbles popping on my nails.
In her rush, she didn't let my nails dry before putting on a top coat.

Neon pink nail polish was snuggling my cuticles, and the skin around my nails was torn up. I didn't even really get to pick my color, as I was given only two options. She was very easy to talk to, but she rushed through my whole manicure. The problem was, however, she isn't that good at doing nails. My nail technician was Rachel, who was a lovely lady. After about five minutes of waiting, we were escorted upstairs to get manicures. She wasn't polite, and was just flat out rude. We arrived and checked in with a rude receptionist. Maybe I should have done some more research. With good reviews, I thought this place would be a good idea. After calling four salons to find that no one was working that day, I scrambled to find All About Me. My brother and dad decided to take my grandfather deep sea fishing, so I decided that my grandmother needed some pampering.
Yesterday was my grandparents' 24th anniversary. This salon needs to step it up and deliver the quality and value that they promise.Īll About Me may not be all about you, but about the next lady that has an appointment after you. I was really looking foward to and expecting "VIP" treatment at this spa and was extremely dissapointed that I didn't get it.
The technician was very unfriendly and the entire feel of the manicure/pedicure was uncomfortable.
and to be honest I've received much better quality and service at walk-in salons that I've taken chances on. Yes, it's store bought and yes, maybe I should upgrade, but I didn't appreciate the nature of the comments nor is that the way to make a sale on your higher quality skin care products. Unfortunately my expectations did not measure up with my experience.įirst I received a facial that was indeed very relaxing and overall pretty enjoyable, however the Esthetician made a few snide comments that rubbed me the wrong way, such as "Oh, you're getting more treatments?" when I told her I had a manicure/pedicure later in the day and "Okay well, it's really time to step up your skincare routine now, how old are you?" after I told her what product I used to wash my face every day. I was so excited to visit this spa as I had heard great things about it and was really looking forward to a relaxing day off from work.
